Sentimental Journey returns to Birt’s Bistro Friday night

Sonoran Blues Rock entertains 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 1 at Birt’s Bistro.

Benevilla, the West Valley’s premier human services non-profit continues to be the coolest place for live entertainment in the Northwest valley.  Their Birt’s Bistro restaurant “Happy Hour” free concerts continue from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 30 as “Sentimental Journey” returns by special request.  
Featuring Karen Ellinwood, “Sentimental Journey” will have three guests lending their talents to the show. First is Joyce Bowlby. Joyce has been in many of their shows and other groups around Sun City West and is a wonderful entertainer. Second is Deborah Lynn. She sings all over the Valley with very talented people and has been doing shows in the area for years. The third guest is Patt Davis from California. Davis and Ellinwood started Sentimental Journey in California and she is a gifted performer with a great voice.
Sentimental Journey will be singing all your favorite songs and throwing in a few Christmas songs to boot. They will be doing solos, duets, trios and quartets.
December kicks off with the return of “Sonoran Blues Rock” from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 1. They will hit the stage with a lineup of blues, jazz and classic rock.
Birt’s Bistro is on the main Benevilla campus at the Hellen & John M. Jacobs Independence Plaza, 16752 N. Greasewood St. in Surprise.
Birt’s Bistro will feature its “Happy Hour” promotions.During concert times, there will be specials on appetizers, food, and refreshments. There are no advance reservations, so getting there early is highly recommended.
Enjoy the crisp autumn weather and dance the night away to the music. Or you can study the artwork on the walls of the restaurant, browse the unique creations from local artists in Birt’s Boutique or thumb through the hundreds of used books on sale for $1 in Birt’s Bookstore.  
Birt’s Bistro is a social enterprise. Every purchase at Birt’s helps to fund Benevilla programs and services.  Birt’s Bistro is building community, one plate at a time.
