Manhattan Dolls to perform at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Nov. 18

The Manhattan Dolls will be performing “A Sentimental Journey” at 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, 1025 N. 111th Ave., Sun City. There is no entrance fee. A free will offering will be accepted during the intermission and any profits will be used to fund youth scholarships to summer church camps at Camp Aloma.

The Manhattan Dolls originated in New York City and are a swing-style female vocal trio with the sound of the Andrews Sisters, now based out of Tucson. Started by a former USO Girl, The Dolls travel the world performing for military events, cruise ships, parades and concert series.

They have been featured on The Rachael Ray Show, BBC Radio London, Fox and Friends, and many more. They have performed with famous bands, including The Jive Aces in the UK, The Cotton Candies in France, and the George Gee Orchestra and The Stan Rubin Orchestra in New York City.

The Dolls will be performing their “A Sentimental Journey” as a youth scholarship fundraiser.
