Election Day only a month away

The midterm election is just over a month away. Those on the Permanent Early Voting List should receive their ballots in about a week as they are set to be mailed Oct. 10. The deadline to mail early ballots back is Oct. 31 and the last day to vote early in the Nov. 6 general election is Nov. 2. Not on the PEVL, but want to vote early? You still can by calling the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office at 602-506-1511 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday by Oct. 26.

Still not registered to vote, but want to make your voice heard? You’re in luck there, too, as you still have a few days. The deadline is Oct. 9; go to www.arizona.vote/ or servicearizona.com/voterRegistration.

Since the primary election in August, a host of write-ins have secured spots on the ballot, making the general election ticket almost as lengthy as the primary.

All Peoria voters will see state races, such as governor, secretary of state and superintendent of public instruction, on their ballots. They will also vote for U.S. senator, as well as the Congressional District 8 representative. Depending on where they live, they will vote for state senator and state representatives in Legislative District 21 or 22.
