Merchants are ready for the annual Front Porch Festival and Old Towne Marketplace happening this weekend.

Enjoy the beautiful fall weather in Historic Downtown Glendale at the 24th Annual Front Porch Festival & Old Towne Marketplace.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 13, visitors can enjoy a day full of unique experiences all throughout Historic Downtown Glendale.

In the Catlin Court District, enjoy activities and demonstrations on the front lawns and porches of historic homes turned into shops and restaurants. In Old Towne, find interesting things to see and do inside the historic buildings that now house independent small businesses. Enjoy fall flavors and treats at area eateries. Many of the downtown buildings’ front entrances and porches are adorned for the fall season with pumpkins, scarecrows and fall-themed bunting.

The event will also mark the launch of the new portable information booth, fondly nicknamed “Mrs. PIB.” The booth will be at the corner of 58th Drive and West Glenn Drive. Knowledgeable downtown docents will welcome visitors to the event and provide maps, event activity lists and downtown shopping and dining information. The booth features a bright green umbrella and picket fence décor.

Some activities have a nominal fee.

There is plenty of free parking throughout the downtown. The Front Porch Festival & Old Towne Marketplace in presented by the Historic Downtown Glendale Merchants Association in partnership with the downtown business community.
